3D modeling
What is a 3D modeling?
3D modeling is a process of designing a digital three-dimensional representation of a real object that is created and reproduced with the help of a computer. The final result is a 3D model of the product, which can later be realized “in metal“.
What is the purpose of a 3D model?
By creating a 3D model, we can visually estimate what the actual product will look like after manufacturing. For example, we can find out what its dimensions and weight will be, and, if necessary, change the model before the product is put into production. Based on the data obtained from the 3D model, the cost of the product is calculated, and the necessary technological equipment for production is designed.
What do we need to create a 3D model of the product?
To create a 3D model, the designer needs some input information. It could be a sketch, a photo of an analog, a real product, or just a well-described idea.
